Residualisation of public housing – Lessons from Poland’s largest cities
This presentation was delivered at the ISA Forum of Sociology Forum in Rabat.
It presents linkages between the position and functioning of public housing in three Polish cities (Warsaw, Krakow, and Lodz) which have followed different development trajectories, and the evolving socioeconomic profiles of individuals and households that rely on public housing. The study relies on microdata from household budget surveys (2006–2023).
