The greening housing contradiction: The UK case. Presentation at the ENHR 2025 Conference in Grand Paris

This presentation, delivered at the ENHR 2025 Conference, is based on the paper “The Greening Housing Contradiction: The UK Case,” which critically examines how three key green policy initiatives in the UK retrofitting, urban greening, and densification are reinforcing longstanding housing inequalities. Drawing on research conducted within the ReHousIn project (co-funded by the EU and UKRI), the analysis situates these interventions within a broader historical shift: from direct public investment in housing to market-driven approaches that stimulate demand and commodify public goods.
