Energy refurbishment policies and practices in Switzerland’s rental housing stock

This presentation, delivered at the ENHR 2025 Conference in Grand Paris, examined Switzerland’s energy refurbishment policies and their interaction with the wider housing market. It explored how these policies shape, and are shaped by, issues of housing equity and affordability. Drawing on empirical examples and policy developments, the research group linked the Swiss experience to broader international discussions on achieving a just transition in the housing sector.
